Movie hunk NICOLAS CAGE suffered from terrible nightmares while filming CAPTAIN CORELLI'S MANDOLIN (2001) - because of a local curse.
The star plays Italian soldier Corelli in the film, and admits to having terrifying dreams soon after he began shooting. Filmed on location on the Greek island of Cephallonia, a local curse condemns visitors to nightmares.
Cage explains, "There is a curse and the locals say that if you stay for any length of time you have bad dreams. I did start having awful dreams about soldiers killing one another - read into that what you will." (JM/WN/PDD)
