Troubled FRIENDS star MATTHEW PERRY has been involved in a car crash.

The actor, who is currently in rehab for an unspecified addiction, damaged his BMW after an elderly lady allegedly failed to give way at a stop sign on Wednesday (18APR01).

A spokesperson for Perry explains, "Matthew Perry was involved in a car accident in Los Angeles yesterday when he swerved to avoid a car whose driver had run a stop sign. "There were no injuries and no drugs or alcohol involved." (MB&CR/WN/RP)
