An American cinema chain is fuming - after hordes of HARRY POTTERS fans are demanding refunds after seeing the trailer.
Filmgoers have been paying to see new releases such as SPY KIDS (2001) and JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS (2001) and leaving after the preview for the eagerly anticipated adaptation.
GENERAL CINEMAS spokesman says, "We've posted signs that if they're there to see the trailer, they can't come out and ask for a refund afterward."
BRIAN CALLAGHAN, from General Cinemas did not clarify how many fans had asked for refunds, but revealed it was enough to make a substantial difference to profits. HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE (2001), starring ALAN RICKMAN and DAME MAGGIE SMITH, will be released in America on 16 November (01). (ES/WNWE/RP)
