The fake cocaine JOHNNY DEPP took on the set of his new movie BLOW (2001) had some disastrous effects on his digestive system - because it was powdered baby laxative.

Director TED DEMME admits the laxative upset Depp's stomach and made his nose run.

He explains, "It was like we'd do one or two shots and then give Johnny massive amounts of tissues and towels to clear his head." He also admits the laxative, taken nasally, had the effect it was designed to have. He adds, "Fortunately we only had to do four takes of the snorting scenes." (SVD/LADN/RP)
