Renée ZELLWEGER poked fun at her mysterious absence at this year's Golden Globe ceremony as part of her appearance on last night's (14APR01) SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE (SNL).
The Texan actress started the show pretending to read extracts from her own diary - and had the audience in hysterics as she read out "I was in the bathroom doing a line...we don't need to read this one."
Fun-loving Zellwegger also starred in a spoof sequel segment from JERRY MAGUIRE (1996), and appeared as eccentric political commentator MOLLY IVERS, a pregnant mum, and a fiancee jilting her husband-to- be at the altar on their wedding day because he wants her to wear KISS make-up on their big day.
But the highlight of her stint on the show was when SNL regular CHRIS KATTAN vomited on her while smooching in one hilarious sketch. (KL/WNV/KW)
