Spy Kids Stays Big

The young secret agent stars of SPY KIDS (2001) continue to rule America's movie box office charts - earning $17.8 million (£11.8 million) last week.

The family oriented caper spent a second week atop the chart, despite competition from two new adult movies - ALONG CAME A SPIDER (2000) and BLOW (2001) - plus the kiddie targeted cartoon Pokémon 3 (2001).

ROBERT RODRIGUEZ' film, featuring ALEXA VEGA and DARYL SABARA as the pre-teen sister and brother espionage team, has now grossed $49 million (£32 million). (MCM/WNWR)
