An ancient stone sundial located in the Inca ruins of Machu Picchu in Peru was damaged Monday when a crane being used during the filming of a beer commercial toppled on top of it, the Associated Press reported from Lima Monday. Federico Kaufmann Doig, described by AP as "a prestigious Peruvian archaeologist, was quoted as saying "They've struck at our most sacred inheritance." The commercial was being produced by the J. Walter Thompson ad agency.
