Designer ALLEN B. SCHWARZ's copy of JENNIFER LOPEZ's revealing OSCARS gown won't be see-through.
The singer/actress' grey and cream CHANEL dress caused a commotion at the SHRINE AUDITORIUM on Sunday (25MAR01) when Lopez's breasts started appearing through the material. ABS boss Schwarz, who famously designs cheaper versions of what the stars wear to the Oscars, insists his copy will be more conservative. He explains, "Nobody would really dress with that type of transparency."
And Schwarz thinks his copy of BEST ACTRESS winner JULIA ROBERTS's vintage VALENTINO black and white gown will become a favourite for bridesmaids this year (01). Both Lopez and Roberts's copy gowns have some way to go before they can beat Schwarz's biggest hit - a copy of HELEN HUNT's 1996 CALVIN KLEIN dress. (KL/WNV/PDD)
