Bullock Changed Her view of Beauty Pageants

SPEED star SANDRA BULLOCK has changed her perception of beauty contests since making the new movie MISS CONGENIALITY (2000).

In the film, Bullock's FBI officer character undergoes an overnight makeover so she can fit in with the beauties at the MISS UNITED STATES beauty pageant.

She says, "It's pretty painful but it's miraculous what you can achieve. I now have a different perception than I did before for some of the people I met. We hired a lot of girls who were actual contestants. "They were hilarious. There were some who took their jobs very seriously, but for the most part they got the joke. They did what they did for money, scholarship money or opportunity career-wise." (RXT/IST/MCM)
