NOTTING HILL (1999) star HUGH GRANT is set to break thousands of female hearts - by quitting acting for good.

The 40-year-old, who stars in new British film BRIDGET JONES' DIARY (2001), feels his days of being a leading man are coming to a flabby end. A worried Hugh says, "I cannot bear to watch myself on screen anymore. There was a moment last year when I stood in front of a mirror and thought, 'Oh my God! Fat middle class w****r.'"
