Bridget Jones Singles Lined Up

ROBBIE WILLIAMS has recorded a track for the soundtrack of BRIDGET JONES'S DIARY - but he's not a big enough name in America for it to be released as a single.

The British ANGELS singer has recorded a version of FRANK SINATRA standard HAVE YOU MET MISS JONES, but soundtrack bosses refuse to release it. Instead, GRAMMY AWARD winner SHELBY LYNNE's THE KILLING KIND, and tracks by ISLAND RECORDS newcomer ROSEY and TEXAS will be the three chosen tracks to be released in America.

The hit soundtrack album, which features only new tracks and never-heard-before covers, also features GABRIELLE, LUCINDA WILLIAMS, TRACY BONHAM and GERI HALLIWELL, who will perform a cover of THE WEATHER GIRLS' IT'S RAINING MEN. (KL/U/MCM)
