JULIA ROBERTS was stunned by Venice the first time she went there - because she didn't know about the water factor.

The PRETTY WOMAN actress fell in love with the romantic Italian city, but had never realised it's linked by a series of canals rather than streets. During a recent trip to Venice, she revealed, "I'll never forget the first time I came here. I was 19 or 20. It was the strongest sensation of my life. "I had no idea about the water factor, that there were no cars. It makes me sound like an idiot - and I don't care. I was stunned, just stunned." (KW/WNSE/RP)
