HANNIBAL star SIR ANTHONY HOPKINS is savouring the sweet taste of a new relationship with American billionaire MARTHA STEWART.

The couple, who met at the CATHERINE ZETA-JONES and MICHAEL DOUGLAS' wedding last year (NOV00), have been out on dates several times, including an intimate candle-lit dinner at a top Los Angeles, California restaurant.

Last year, Martha became an instant billionaire when she went public with her business empire based on her popularity as a TV chef, gardener and DIY expert. She lives in a luxurious mansion in the exclusive Hamptons estate, New York, while the veteran actor resides in Los Angeles.

A source says, "Martha went to his house when she came to Los Angeles on business and he wowed her by playing CHOPIN on the piano. But for now they are keeping their romance low profile."
