Actor RAY LIOTTA wishes he didn't research all his roles so vigorously - because sometimes the lengths he goes to makes him sick.

The GOODFELLAS star played a heart surgeon in hit film UNLAWFUL ENTRY and admits getting into character was the worst thing he's ever had to do. He recalls, "I wanted to see how they did that so I scrubbed up and watched an operation. The first couple of times I fainted, but I got the courage up and I was standing there and the nurses heard I was the guy in Goodfellas and FIELD OF DREAMS so they said, 'Can we take your picture?' "They opened up this guy's chest and suddenly from nowhere out came this camera and they start taking these pictures of me with their arms round me over the body with its chest open. It was sick."
