AL PACINO and recently separated actress KIM BASINGER were caught having a cosy get together - just hours before Pacino's girlfriend was due to give birth.

The bizarre and affectionate meeting comes just days after Pacino failed to mention his pregnant girlfriend, actress BEVERLY D'ANGELO, in his rambling speech after receiving a LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD at America's GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS.

Now friends say D'Angelo, who gave birth to twins the day after Pacino and Basinger's meeting, should be worried that she'll lose her man to ALEC BALDWIN's estranged wife.

A friend says, "Who would blame Beverly for feeling heavy and unattractive at the end of a very difficult pregnancy? She was leery when she learned Al and Kim were working on a movie together. "When she finds out her lover was out wining and dining one of the most gorgeous women in Hollywood she'll be crushed.
