Ratings for the telecast took a big dive in the last hour -- and thereby apparently reduced the size of the audience for Survivor 2. (Although Washington Post writer Lisa de Moraes noted, "Since this year's game conformed with tradition and was a real snoozola, it's entirely likely that the highly anticipated return of Survivor will have helped the last minutes of the game instead of vice versa.") The first contestant to get the hook was 45-year-old corrections officer Debb Eaton, the subject of a recent National Enquirer article that claimed she was planning to marry her stepson. The show moves to its regular Thursday-night slot this week.
