Chinese Government Joins Search For Jackie Chan Film

The Chinese Government is helping track down pirated copies of a new JACKIE CHAN film.

Producers of THE ACCIDENTAL SPY, the latest action thriller from the martial arts superstar, appealed for the government's help after copies of the movie were discovered in China, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia at the end of last month (DEC00) - two weeks before its release.

The production company GOLDEN HARVEST has handed the investigations over to the CHINESE PUBLIC SECURITY BUREAU. With a $25.6 million (£18.2 million) budget, the movie is the most expensive Hong Kong movie to date. (LE/HR/KW).
