Ratings for the NFC and AFC conference championships last Sunday took a dive in the ratings, raising questions about whether numbers for the Super Bowl will follow suit.

According to Nielsen Research, ratings for the two games were down an average of 15 percent from last year, with the NFC game between the New York Giants and the Minnesota Vikings taking the biggest hit, as it fell 23 percent below the ratings for last year's game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the St. Louis Rams. The AFC game between the Oakland Raiders and the Baltimore Ravens was down 7 percent from last year's Tennessee-Jacksonville match-up.
