British director GUY RITCHIE insists on keeping his pop star wife MADONNA down to earth - by taking her for regular jaunts to the pub.

The couple own fabulous family homes, employ a vast array of aides and travel by private jet, but SNATCH director Guy is determined to remain a regular Londoner. He says, "I'll still be taking the missus to the local pub for a drink. But for the past couple of weeks we've hardly been out at all.

"Madonna is quite normal, really - she likes to do the same things everyone enjoys. We don't watch the TV. We listen to music and watch films, write a bit and read a lot." He adds, "Six weeks ago I was a single man, tapping my heels. Now I've got two kids and a wife. "Marriage to Madonna is magnificent.
