A recent feature on ABC's 20/20 Downtown is to become a reality TV series in Britain. "Hands on a Hardbody," serialized on the magazine show over three weeks last October, described a Texas contest to win a pickup truck that requires entrants to stand for days on end with one hand on the truck. (They're allowed only short bathroom breaks.)

The last one left standing wins. Britain's commercial Channel 5 said Wednesday that it is currently seeking 26 contestants for the show, in which they will be encouraged to try to distract one another while supporters try to keep them awake. The show, titled Touching the Truck, was described by Channel 5 exec Chris Shaw as "a deceptively simple idea."

While the contest will be edited for television, a Channel 5 Web site is being set up to provide 24-hour-a-day coverage.
