Pop queen MADONNA has one ambition that still hasn't been fulfilled - she wants to be pals with England's QUEEN ELIZABETH.

The MUSIC superstar, a self-confessed royalist, is not content with being friends with PRINCE CHARLES, and aims to take her new anglophilia right to the top.

She says, "I think it's great that there's a monarchy. People should stop slagging them off." Maddy adds her daughter LOURDES is also a royal freak, and would love to visit Her Majesty. She adds, "Lola wants to go over to her house as well. It's so funny. Every time we go past BUCKINGHAM PALACE I say, 'See that. That's where the Queen lives.' And Lola says, 'Mummy, can't we go visit the Queen?' "Then I say, 'Yeah, let's go ring the doorbell.'"

Now Maddy has made it her resolution to really get to know the Queen, because she's royal-crazy. She adds, "I like good old kings and queens. They hark back such a long time. So long live the Queen."
