An NBC spokesperson has confirmed a report by Internet gossip Matt Drudge that producer Linda Bloodworth Thomason has pitched the idea of Bill Clinton hosting a weekly TV talk show after he leaves office in January. However, the spokesperson, Shirley Powell, said that the network wanted to know more about plans for the proposed program. In his column on Monday, Drudge, citing well-placed sources, said that Clinton had personally greenlighted the idea, remarking, "Feel the networks out, I'd love to do it. ... I'd love to interview people from all walks of life. We could do interviews with local mayors right on up to world leaders, and even movie stars!"
