The fifth BATMAN movie is set to revive to ailing film series - by being less family orientated and more haunting.

BATMAN V has gone into production with hip indie director DARREN ARONFSKY at the helm, reported to be giving the super-hero flick a twisted and darker edge.

He will team up with FRANK MILLER, author of the Batman comic books, to write the much anticipated script. Bat-fan Aronfsky says, "Toss out anything you know about Batman, forget anything you have seen. We're starting with a totally new slate." (ALS/E/NFA)
