After another weekend of sold-out screenings for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Sony Classics is planning to speed up the roll-out of the film next weekend, according to Daily Variety. The film earned $1.1 million over the weekend on only 31 screens, an average of $35,675 per screen. Sony Classics' Pollock, about the artist Jackson Pollock, also performed impressively over the weekend, earning $43,898 in just two theaters, one in New York, the other in Los Angeles. And Miramax's Chocolat, which debuted on eight screens over the weekend, took in an outstanding $160,000.
