CATHERINE ZETA JONES is set to become the first person to be granted the Freedom of Mumbles - a little village in her native Wales.
The community council in the sleepy seaside village is considering bringing in Freedom awards for people who have contributed towards the area - and they think the recently married ENTRAPMENT star would be a perfect first recipient.
Chairman DAVID EVANS says the awards are just an idea at the moment but it is thought the actress, whose parents PAT and DAI live in the council area at Mayals, could be the first recipient of any citizenship award.
Another candidate could be rocking singer BONNIE TYLER, a long- time resident of Mumbles Road Mr Evans has praised Catherine Zeta Jones's readiness to extol the virtues of Mumbles and Gower when she is interviewed. (CPT/WNWCTO/RGS)
