The owner of SKIBO CASTLE has asked MADONNA and husband-to-be GUY RITCHIE not to sleep together the night before their wedding on Saturday (23DEC00).

PETER DE SAVARY describes himself as an eccentric traditionalist, and insists couples staying at his castle in the Scottish Highlands observe the traditional rule of the bride and groom sleeping apart before the big day. "He feels strongly about it, and I doubt he will make an exception for Madonna," says a member of staff. "Anyway, it makes the day so much more special.
