Indy's Diary Sells For Double

The Grail Diary from INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE has sold at auction for more than $26,250 (£17,500) - more than twice its estimate.

A spokeswoman for CHRISTIE'S auction house in London confirmed a private collector paid a massive $26,437 (£17,625) for the classic film relic, about double what was expected.

A whip used by HARRISON FORD in INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM sold for $19,387 (£12,925), almost four times the estimated price.

A cat collar made for MR BIGGLESWORTH in AUSTIN POWERS: THE SPY WHO SHAGGED ME was also due to be sold - but it was withdrawn before the auction began. (NFA/WNWCAN/CPT)
