Bradley Cooper has signed on for military duty to star in Paramount’s new and untitled G.I. Joe feature.

Bradley will be playing Duke, the leader the military unit, in the new Paramount Pictures movie based on the Hasbro toy line.

Danny McBride is directing the untitled movie from a screenplay he wrote with Jeff Fradley and John Carcieri.

Duke, whose real name is Conrad Hauser, is a native of St. Louis, Missouri and the field leader of the military team. Channing Tatum played the character in two live-action films: 2009’s G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and 2013’s G.I. Joe: Retaliation.

Paramount also confirmed that "G.I. Joe" has been "uncoupled" from the "Transformers" franchise. That crossover was teased at the end of 2023's "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts."

12-time Oscar nominee "Bradley Cooper" is best known for his roles in films like "A Star Is Born", "Silver Linings Playbook" and "American Sniper". He's currently in production on an "Ocean's 11" prequel. Cooper is directing the project and starring alongside Margot Robbie and Monica Barbaro.
