Bradley Cooper has reportedly joined the cast of the upcoming reboot of the "G.I. Joe" franchise at Paramount Pictures.
There were then reports claiming Chris Hemsworth was attached to star in the film. Now, it sounds like those plans have changed.
Paramount has yet to confirm the casting, and the character Cooper would play hasn't been officially revealed, though multiple reports expect Conrad "Duke" Hauser to anchor the story. The actor is currently filming an Ocean's Eleven prequel for Warner Bros., a project he stars in, writes and directs alongside Margot Robbie.
McBride is best known as the creator and star of Vice Principals and The Righteous Gemstones. He will next voice Bomb in The Angry Birds Movie 3.
Three live-action "G.I. Joe" films have been made, starting in 2009, followed by a sequel in 2013 and then a character-centric spin-off "Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins" in 2021. All were widely panned, though the second of the three did earn $376 million globally.
