Zoe Saldaña becomes highest-grossing actor of all time.

Academy Award winner Zoe Saldaņa is officially the highest-grossing actor of all time, thanks to "Avatar: Fire and Ash."

The Oscar winner took to her Instagram on Tuesday to share her appreciation for those who helped her achieve this rare milestone.

"I just want to express my sincerest gratitude for the extraordinary journey that has led me to become the highest-grossing film actor of all time today," she said in a video. "An achievement made possible entirely, entirely by the incredible franchises and the collaborators that I have been fortunate enough to be a part of, to every director who placed their trust in me."

Saldaņa surpassed Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson following the release of the third installment in James Cameron's Avatar franchise in December, which has grossed $1.23 billion worldwide. She has also starred in the three highest-grossing films of all time, including 2009's Avatar, 2019's Avengers: Endgame and 2022's Avatar: The Way of Water.

Scarlett Johansson's career total, still remains a close second at $15.40 billion. Much of that figure was powered by her decade-long portrayal of Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, along with major studio hits including Sing, and Jurassic World Rebirth. For much of the 2010s, Johansson was widely considered Hollywood's most bankable actress. Forbes named her the world's highest-paid actress in both 2018 and 2019, as Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame dominated theaters worldwide.
