Steve Martin Cut From Mel Gibson's New Film

A prank scene in MEL GIBSON's new movie WHAT WOMEN WANT, in which funnyman STEVE MARTIN appears, was cut from the film when studio bosses at PARAMOUNT missed the joke.

Director NANCY MEYERS was thrilled when her pal Martin turned up on the set in Chicago during a break in his new film NOVOCAINE, which was also being shot in the city, and she decided to add him to a crowd scene for a joke. Meyers then sent the footage to the studio to see if anyone would notice. Nobody did and the scene was cut.
