ANGELINA JOLIE started acting as a means to insert her independence.

The actress was insecure after her parents split up during her childhood and used acting to vent her feelings. She says, "I didn't know any other way to express myself. Some people are very good at moving things around, at moving sentences around. I know I want so much to explain things to somebody, so I'm very good at trying to just explore different emotions and feel things. This is an actor, I think. So that's what I had to do."
