Christopher Nolan is teaming up with Universal again following his Oscar-winning success from the movie Oppenheimer.
Nolan’s next film, reportedly set to star Matt Damon, will be released by Universal, which released his Oscar-winning powerhouse "Oppenheimer" Damon memorably co-starred in "Oppenheimer" and Nolan’s earlier "Interstellar".
Following the success of “Oppenheimer,” which earned seven Academy Awards and grossed $958 million worldwide, it’s no surprise Nolan would re-team with the studio.
Sources tell Variety that Universal is planning an Imax release for the title on July 17, 2026. Plot details for the project remain under wraps.
This will be the third time that Damon and Nolan have worked together. Damon previously appeared in 2014’s ‘Interstellar’ before ‘Oppenheimer.’ Nolan has a talent for collaborating with the same actors on multiple projects, and Damon now joins the ranks of Christian Bale and Murphy as actors who have worked with Nolan on at least three occasions.
