A24 is set to finance and produce Borgli’s The Drama, with Zendaya and Robert Pattinson in early negotiations to star. Borgli will direct from a script he wrote.

The stars are in early talks for the lead roles in the film from Borgli, who previously wrote and directed A24’s 2023 feature Dream Scenario that starred Nicolas Cage.

Plot details have not been shared, but The Drama is said to involve a couple whose romance changes dramatically before their big day. Aster, Knudsen and Tyler Campellone serve as producers for Square Peg.

It’s been a big year for Zendaya, who led this year’s hits "Dune: Part Two" and "Challengers". She's next set to reprise her Emmy and Golden Globe winning role as Rue Bennett in the third season of HBO's "Euphoria".

Pattinson will next be seen in Bong Joon-ho’s science fiction drama "Mickey 17", due out in January. He was most recently seen on the big screen as Bruce Wayne in 2022's "The Batman and as the voice of the Grey Heron in the English language dub of Hayao Miyazaki's "The Boy and the Heron".
