Josh O'Connor will join Emily Blunt in the cast of what's been described as a 'two-hander'.
The project's details are under wraps, but it has been referred to as a 'UFO film' in times past. Today, during the latest IMAX Investor Presentation, it seemed to be revealed that the film is going by the title “The Dish”
Little is known about what Spielberg is cooking up for his big return to blockbuster territory so far, but we have already learned that the filmmaker is reteaming with his Jurassic Park scribe David Koepp for this one, whilst fellow long-time collaborator Kristie Macosko Krieger (The Fabelmans, West Side Story) will produce.
Production on the project is slated to begin in February in New Jersey and Atlanta. David Koepp is writing the screenplay based on Spielberg’s own original idea, marking one of the first times in a while Spielberg is working without Tony Kushner.
Spielberg's last film was 2022's "The Fabelmans", the most personal statement of his career, and which garnered overwhelmingly positive reviews and a Toronto audience award to boot. This came after another critically-acclaimed film, 2021’s “West Side Story,” which itself was a seven-time Oscar nominee.
