Rebecca Ferguson has joined Netflix's upcoming Peaky Blinders movie opposite series vet Cillian Murphy.

Netflix greenlit the movie based on the beloved series that stars Murphy as Thomas Shelby, the war hero turned gangster who works his way up in the world of crime in 1900s Birmingham. While the film is described as a “continuation” of the series, plot details are being kept under wraps, along with Ferguson’s role.

When the project was announced, Muphy said in a statement, "It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me …"

Tom Harper is directing from a script by Peaky creator Steven Knight. Producers are Caryn Mandabach, Knight, Murphy and Guy Heeley. Exec producers include Harper, David Kosse, Jamie Glazebrook, Andrew Warren and David Mason. The feature will be made in association with BBC Film.

Ferguson was most recently in theaters with the second installment in the Dune franchise. Up next is the second season of the Apple sci-fi series Silo and sci-fi thriller Mercy for Amazon MGM that will see her star opposite Chris Pratt.
