CHEERS actors TED DANSON and WOODY HARRELSON have been accused of ruining the beautiful area where they live - by pumping their waste into the ocean.

The actors live next to the famous Malibu beach, along with stars like LEONARDO DI CAPRIO and STING - and now deadly bacteria found floating in the ocean has been linked to the septic tanks of the famous.

Malibu residents have fought off plans to build a proper sewerage system for the stretch of beach, because they fear it will make space for new hotel developments. An American water expert says, "Flush a loo in Malibu and the sewage will end up in the waves that make the area so renowned."
