Daniel Radcliffe Addresses His Potential Cameo in the New Harry Potter TV Show.

Daniel Radcliffe says it would be wise for the upcoming "Harry Potter" television series on Max to distance itself from the iconic film series, which means the potential for him to cameo in the show is quite low.

The actor, who of course played the Boy Who Lived in all eight of the blockbuster Harry Potter movies, recently told E! News that he didn't think a role or cameo in the upcoming entry into the Wizarding World was in the cards for him.

"I don't think so," he said. "I think they very wisely want to have a clean break. And I don't know if it would work to have us do anything in it."

The new Harry Potter TV series is set to be more faithful to the books than the films. Radcliffe had been asked about possibly taking part in the new adaptation but he completely shut down the possibility at the time.

"My understanding is that they’re trying to very much start fresh and I’m sure whoever is making them will want to make their own mark on it and probably not want to have to figure out how to get old Harry to cameo in this somewhere," Radcliffe said. "I'm definitely not seeking it out in any way. But I do wish them, obviously, all the luck in the world and I’m very excited to have that torch passed. But I don’t think it needs me to physically pass it."
