The on-again, off-again marriage between Oscar-winning actor NICOLAS CAGE and actress PATRICIA ARQUETTE is said to be off again.
Arquette has filed for divorce from Cage citing "irreconcilable differences" in a petition filed in the LOS ANGELES SUPERIOR COURT. Cage had filed for divorce in February (00), but the couple reconciled and the petition was withdrawn. Arquette's divorce petition stated that the couple separated again on 1 November (00).
The two married in April 1995 and separated nine months later, according to documents from Cage's first divorce petition. They have already dissolved their assets and debts by written agreements, court documents said. Cage, who is the nephew of director FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA, won a best actor Oscar in 1995 for his role as an alcoholic in LEAVING LAS VEGAS.
Arquette, the sister of actors DAVID and ROSANNA Arquette, is perhaps best known for her role as a possessed woman in last year's horror film STIGMATA.
The couple appeared together last year (99) in the MARTIN SCORSESE ambulance drama BRINGING OUT THE DEAD.
