Chris Pine Joins Disney’s Next Animated Movie.

Chris Pine has joined the cast of Disney's upcoming animated movie "Wish".

Disney's upcoming animated film has added actor Chris Pine to its ensemble. Pine is well-known for his performances in films such as the Star Trek franchise, Wonder Woman, and Into the Woods. Wish will mark Pine's first time lending his voice to a Disney animated film.

The film is directed by Chris Buck and Fawn Veerasunthorn, the former of whom has previously directed beloved Disney animated films such as Frozen, Frozen Fever, Tarzan, and The Legend of Tarzan. The animated epic will follow 17-year-old Asha and her goat Valentino as they traverse a mysterious kingdom where wishes come true.

Disney has yet to announce the details of who Pine will play in the film. However, Ariana DeBose, who will portray Asha, and Alan Tudyk, who will voice Valentino the goat, are among the notable cast members.

Chris Pine recently remarked on a possible involvement in the upcoming film The Princess Diaries 3 in an interview with Bustle.

Fans of the film The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement will recall that Pine portrayed Nicholas Devereaux, the handsome and charming love interest of Princess Mia, played by Anne Hathaway. Pine revealed during the interview that a return for him in any role would be unlikely. "I think it would be too late to do it now. Especially me, it's too far down the line now to go back to it. It’s a lovely thought, but I don’t think it would probably be possible."

His co-star Anne Hathaway however, replied differently by stating that she would "more than entertain" the possibility of being involved in a third film. "I'm pulling for it. If there's any way to get Julie Andrews involved, I think we would make it work. We would go to where she was and put a green screen behind her and just make it happen."
