Forty-seven boxes containing 137 working scripts of the 1950's Your Show of Shows and other trailblazing TV productions by the legendary producer Max Liebman have been discovered in a locked closet on the celebrated 6th floor of the 56th Street office building where the scripts were written, the New York Times reported today (Tuesday).
Dr. Patrick Loughney, head of the Moving Image section of the Library of Congress, told the Times that the discovery "is near miraculous." Added Carl Reiner, a member of the Your Show of Shows troupe, "It's as exciting as an Egyptian tomb that's been opened. Did they find any dead writers in there?"
