Matt Drudge, who parted with Fox News Channel following a dispute last year, has now been fired by ABC radio, where he has been broadcasting a Sunday-night talk show, the Washington Post reported today (Monday). In an interview with the newspaper Drudge viewed his firing "as punishment for daring to report on ABC's activities." He went on: "The whole notion that this is a political payback for my Web reporting is an explosive accusation, but I'm willing to make it." ABC said that it had not been able to make money with Sunday night talk shows. "We're just not going to be in that business anymore," ABC spokeswoman Julie Hoover told the Post.
