ANNA NICOLE SMITH is at the centre of an FBI investigation into a plot to kill her stepson E PIERCE MARSHALL.

The former stripper has been battling with Marshall in court over his father - her late husband - J HOWARD MARSHALL's fortune, and now agents for the Federal Bureau of Investigation are looking into "bogus" reports the leggy blonde tried to have him killed.

FBI agents are reportedly satisfied Smith didn't plot to kill her stepson - but now they want to find out who did. Smith has told pals, "I'm furious about these vicious lies. How could anyone think I'd want to kill someone."
