UPN said Wednesday that it will broadcast The Source Hip-Hop Music Awards on Aug. 29, despite a bloody fight that broke out during the original presentations Tuesday.
Music manager Steve Imes told today's (Thursday) New York Daily News: "It was truly thug world. ... You're in a room with a bunch of rappers and thugs who make money dissing each other. Then you bring them all together in a room and expect them to act like they got some sense.
It was ugly." UPN indicated that it would use footage from the original program and combine it "seamlessly" with additional awards presentations to complete the show. The bust-up, it said, will not be included.
