Irish superstar PIERCE BROSNAN's new leading lady says she wasn't stirred by their love scenes - because she had another man on her mind.

Screen newcomer ANNIE GALIPEAU co-stars with the 007 actor in the new epic GREY OWL. She plays Brosnan's young Indian wife ANAHAREO - nicknamed PONY - in the true-life love story. But Annie had her mind on boyfriend JILLES, a supermarket worker, during her love scenes with the screen hunk. She says, "I put some of myself into the character of Pony. It wasn't difficult to do such scenes with Pierce. He put me very much at ease. I'd kiss him on the film set every morning because I was so happy to have him as a friend."

And Brosnan, 47, was so concerned about the 25-year-age gap between them, he went on a strict diet and health regime before filming. He says, "In the film Annie is very young and I had to justify it to myself by thinking we were recreating history and telling the story accurately. Even so, it was an effort as she looks so young and innocent."
