John Malkovich has denied reports that he will play the Green Goblin in Columbia's upcoming Spider-Man movie, directed by Sam Raimi and starring Tobey Maguire (The Cider House Rules). "I won't be doing Spider-Man,' Malkovich told the online edition of the British Empire magazine. 'It's not really my genre particularly, and there were scheduling difficulties." Asked about the scheduling conflict, Malkovich told the magazine, "It was everything, way too much time, not enough money, not enough of anything. I mean, if I'd have loved it obviously I would have done it, but those sort of films aren't art films, they're business propositions."
