Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans to Star in Jason Bateman's 'Project Artemis'.

Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson are set to re-team for the film "Project Artemis" which "Ozark" star Jason Bateman is onboard to direct for Apple Studios, These Pictures and Aggregate Films.

Project Artemis is written by Rose Gilroy, and will reportedly be set against the space race. Further details about its plot and characters are still being kept under wraps. The acquisition deal reportedly cost Apple more than $100 million. The project will be produced by Bateman through his Aggregate Films along with Johansson, Jonathan Lia, and Keenan Flynn through their These Pictures banner.

The studio previously bought Matthew Vaughn’s Argylle starring Henry Cavill and Dua Lipa, and Brad Pitt’s untitled F1 racing film, both for $200 million. There is currently no word on the film’s release date.

Apple’s romantic action-adventure film Ghosted was initially set to be Evans and Johansson’s reunion. However, due to scheduling conflicts, Johansson had to exit the film and was replaced by Ana de Armas, who is currently filming Ghosted with Evans.

The film will be directed by Jason Bateman. Bateman's previous directing work includes 2015's The Family Fang, 2013's Bad Words, and multiple episodes of the Netflix series Ozark. He will also be a producer for the film through his production company Aggregate Films.

This is the second film in the works for Apple and Johansson, with Bride also in development. The film is a riff on the classic character the Bride of Frankenstein and being made with A24.
