Fox Family Channel has filed a copyright-infringement suit against CBS and producer Jerry Bruckheimer over their plans for a reality game show with a travel theme. In its suit, Fox claims that it began developing another show, Race Around the World, in 1998 and at one point met with an agent with Creative Artists Agency, Alix Hartley, about the program. A month later, the suit said, CAA packaged one of Hartley's clients, Bertram Van Munster, with Bruckheimer for a show described as an Around the World in 80 Days contest. The suit contends: "The shows are not only substantially similar; they are virtually identical."
