BLAIR WITCH II: BOOK OF SHADOWS star ERICA LEERHSEN took fantasy a little too seriously while making the horror film.

The 24-year-old actress was told by director JOE BERLINGER to write herself anonymous letters, which should help her become frightened and obsessed in preparation for the role - but Erica took it a little too far, and the situation got out of hand.

She admits, "I started writing myself letters, pretending to be a girl who was having an affair with my boyfriend. "I did it for six weeks and, after a while, I got to the stage when I actually believed he was seeing someone else. "I showed him one of the letters and confronted him. We had a row and I dropped him."
