Bride-to-be CATHERINE ZETA-JONES has already blown a whopping $1.5 million (£1 million) on her upcoming wedding.

The ENTRAPMENT star is to wed MICHAEL DOUGLAS in New York next month (18NOV00) - and has already overspent her $900,000 (£600,000) limit.

A pal says, "There seems to be no stopping her. She's paying $180,000 (£120,000) simply on decorations in the hotel's Grand Ballroom."

Michael, 56, is also picking up the tab to fly Catherine's entire family from Wales to New York in a private jet. The couple's spokesman ALLEN BURRY says, "This is her big day and she's very excited. Obviously it's going to be very, very lavish."
